Welcome back to the 201-2013 school year.  For those of you that are new this year, I would like to extend a special welcome.  It is my privilege and honor to work with all of you at Pillager High School.  We have many new and exciting things planned this year.  Please use this page as a reference for announcements and activities.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. 

***Need help studying for the ACT? The U.S. Army offers a FREE online tutorial created by the makers of ACT/SAT, Peterson's and Educational Options, two top e-learning companies. March 2 Success includes:

Comprehensive English (Language usage, Reading, Writing) Integrated Math (Basic Math, algebra, Geometry, Statistics) Integrated Science (Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Hig School Prep SAT Program (7 full-length practice tests for the SAT with detailed answer explanations and performance feedback) ACT Program (7 full-length practice tests for the ACT with detailed answer explanations and performance feedback) Interactive Flashcards Zero Hour Threat (An interactive action game designed to increase ACT/SAT test scores as well as enhance general mathematics and vocab skills. Please make sure you visit the Scholarship section of my website.  All the scholarships are listed along with links to the application.  Because so many companies, including Pillager High School, are trying to reduce the amount of paper being used many of the applications can be found online.  If a scholarship does not have an online link, hard copies the scholarship application can be found outside of the Media Center.

Honors Online students can begin spring registration starting November 20, 2012.  See Mrs. Turner if you are interested in registering for an online course through Lake Superior College.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in School Counseling.  I have been a school counselor for the past thirteen years, ten of which have been with the Pillager school district.  My husband and I have three children, and reside in the Brainerd/Baxter area.
