How you can help...
Pillager Ed Foundation

Special Education serves children birth through 21 who qualify for services according to criteria established by the state of Minnesota. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • learning disabilities
  • emotional behavioral disorders
  • autism spectrum disorders
  • speech / language disorder
  • developmentally cognitive disability
  • occupational and physical therapy
  • assistive technology
  • early intervention services

Individual and small group support is provided for children who qualify in these areas. All services are based on individual needs of the child.

The Special Education department serves many students across all disability categories.  We teach students various academic and life skills at their current instructional level.  Our mission is to prepare them for achieving their work and post-secondary goals upon completing high school.

This is my sixth year working as a special education teacher in the Pillager School District. I currently work with 2nd through 4th grade students with learning disabilities. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education.

I live in Brainerd with my wonderful husband, Darren, and two delightful sons, Owen and Evan. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing outdoors, and reading suspense novels.

Please call any time with questions or concerns (746-2106). Communication is extremely important to me. I look forward to working with your family and providing services to help your child succeed!
