Mrs. Fredman's KindergartenFlock

This is the beginning of a wonderful time for your kindergarten student. I am looking forward to sharing this coming year with you and your child. We will be calling our class the KinderFlock. Along with learning about self, home, family, and community, we will be learning about birds, airplanes and places we have been. We will be busy in kindergarten, and our goal is to be champion learners!

Mrs. Fredman's goal in her KinderFlock classroom is to provide her students with a safe nest but also give them wings to fly.

We will be working on the following skills:

Printing our first and last name

Saying/singing the alphabet

Counting to 115 and on

Printing to 20 and on

Naming shapes

Recognizing numbers 1-100 and on

Saying our full name

Naming 10 colors

Saying our phone number

Saying the days of the week

Saying the months of the year

Tying our shoes

Skip counting

Each month in Kindergarten, we have many special activities, including birthdays, thematic units, important events, featured authors, book orders, VIPs, and new things that we are learning.  Click on each month below to see what is going on in our classroom!

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 1978 with a teaching degree in elementary education. I completed my Master's Degree from the College of St. Scholastica. My husband is a science teacher at Pillager school. We have four children. Our oldest son and his wife have three little boys, Titus, Asher. and Zeke.  Our daughter and her husband have two little boys, Oliver and Finley.  Peter, our third child, is an engineer in Superior WI. Our youngest daughter, Amy, is currently attending the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. I have spent many years working with young children and I think that kindergarten is the best place to be. I enjoy my family a lot, especially playing with and reading to my grandsons.
